We Create Your Special Day
My name is Claire and flowers are my passion. I love a challenge and to think outside the box.
But most importantly making your special day about the two of you and doing it your way!
Our clients are more than just clients, they become friends & part of our flower family.
Welcome To Bottom Of The Garden Flowers
Wedding & Event Specialists
Wow, if you are visiting us you are either planning a wedding or special event. How exciting!
That is where I come in to sprinkle a little magic with the power of flowers. Adding the perfect ambience with colour, texture, highly scented florals and plants to transform any space into the perfect setting.
What Are We
We are a specialist florists dedicated to making your special day or event as individual as you are! This means getting to know you, the things you love, the things you hate, how you met, what really makes you, well you! So be warned I ask a lot of questions, allowing us to incorporate as much of you into your day as we can.
Our attention to detail and client relationship is second to none! That's why we only ever take on one couple or event per day, so we are totally focused on making your day everything you dreamed it to be.
We love to work with clients with a wild imagination or vision.
We have transformed the plainest of venues into winter wonderlands, wild meadows, brought the outdoors in.
We have had amazing themes from Harry Potter through to superhero's so the wilder your imagination the more fun we can have with your theme!
We only ever use the highest quality flowers, we order direct from Holland and use growers we have built amazing relationships with to ensure this.
But where we can, we love to use British flowers grown by our flower farms right here in the UK.
We constantly strive to be more environmentally friendly in an industry that at times is not.
We have dropped our single use plastics and are using less floral foam. (aiming towards none)
We offer a repurposing service, meaning we collect any florals you do not want after your event and we turn them into displays and bouquets for our local MacMillan unit and dementia homes.

2020 The year Covid-19 Hit
Wow what a year 2020 was, if anyone ever said to me we would be working remotely and rebooking all our events whilst living under the shadow of a global pandemic I would have laughed at them.
So with all our events and weddings cancelled and no end in sight what to do next? We spent time looking over our website, marketing, feeling very positive at the beginning but like many others began to panic about where things were going. So with our brides all happily rebooked for 2021 and 2020 finally drawing to a close what next? Well my mojo got up and left the building! I was finding it harder and harder to keep motivated and moving forward, I was spending less time focused on the business and more time with my family.
Then having spoken to flowery friends of mine further up country I had a bit of a reality check, whilst I was sat worrying about not having vast amounts or work and sulking like a petulant child in some sort of strange limbo. They were struggling to keep up with the funeral work, some of these guys were doing 5 plus funerals a day! That's when I had a lightbulb moment, take the positives. No work has not been great, but to balance that I spent my summer with my children picnicking in the garden, playing in the pool and enjoying a beautiful summer. My summers are normally manic and spent going event to event so it was lovely. What had I to complain about my family was together, happy (most of the time) and healthy. Not doing 5 plus funerals a day due to covid meant things were a little safer here and I was happy to take that.
As a family we became closer and as Christmas approached we were all looking forward to the end of 2020 and life getting back to normal. So with that in mind we began to look at 2021 and plan our year! Fingers crossed it's a better one!!!!
2021 Not The Start We Wanted But.....
Ok, so not the start we wanted! Another national lockdown and weddings and events being cancelled again. But I am positive this year will be better. With the hopes of a new vaccine hopefully we will be able to see our friends again soon!
So during Jan we are arranging weddings for 2021 and 2022. Rearranging the wedding and events for those having to do so again, we will be with them through every step of this scary process.
We are focusing on the controllable rather than worrying about the things we have no control over and have been working with the amazing Faye Cornhill planning for the coming year. We are as excited as always and looking forward to getting back to meeting up with our clients again, good things are a coming!

Tom & Anna Dadds
Bottom Of The Garden Flowers created us our gorgeous wedding flowers. I had a vague idea in mind but I received brilliant advice as to what flowers and colours would best compliment our wedding theme, within our budget. We ordered my bouquet, 2 bridesmaid bouquets, 3 flower girl bouquets, 8 male button holes and 4 female button holes. I am so pleased I chose Bottom of The Garden Flowers, the flowers looked amazing and the service was friendly and professional.

5*! I am so glad I picked Claire to be our florist for our wedding - she was nothing but helpful and organised and easily adapted when I changed my mind on things! Always checking in to make sure wedding planning was going well and if we needed any help with anything.
On the day - nothing short of very helpful and comforting when the nerves kicked in and flowers looked amazing! Can not recommend her enough!
From a young age I have had a passion for all things flower related, my granny was a very keen gardener and seems to have passed on her green fingers!
At the age of 13 I began working in a local florist shop and my passion just grew. With Max's support I went from a Saturday girl to fully trained florist and then became the manager, when Max decided to take a step back. After many happy years we decided to relocate to the beautiful Christchurch in Dorset, to focus on our growing family. (3 boys and 3 girls! ) With the children settled and inspired by the beautiful countryside and coast I fell in love with my love of nature again. So in 2008 I branched out on my own. And I have never looked back! I love every aspect of my job, what other job can you do where 99% of it is about making someone else happy. Working from a studio at home allows me freedom to create exactly what a client wants, I do this by taking the time to get to know them and help them with planning their event or special occasion. With weddings in particular I can work with a client for several years. My mission is to bring flowers and a love of nature to your wedding or event.
So whether it is for a really large event or a deeply intimate occasion I will bring my years of expertise and design skills to the table, add a sprinkle of magic to your ideas....and create the flowers of your dreams!
I look forward to working with you, whatever the occasion. Because nothing makes our smiles brighter than a happy client!!!
